What is Profession?
- An occupation or career: "One of the highest compliments a child can pay a parent is to choose his or her profession" (Joan Nathan).
- An occupation, such as law, medicine, or engineering, that requires considerable training and specialized study.
- The body of qualified persons in an occupation or field: members of the teaching profession.
- An act or instance of professing; a declaration.
- A body of persons engaged in a craft or trade, collectively.
"A profession is vocation founded upon specialized educational training the purpose of which is to supply disinterested counsel and service to others, for a direct and definite compensation, wholly apart from expectation of other business gain".
What is Professional?
- a person who has obtained a degree in a professional field.
- A person who prosecutes anything professionally, or for a livelihood, and not in the character of an amateur; a professional worker.
- A person engaged on one of the learned professions.
"The term professional is used more generally to denote a white collar working person, or a person who performs commercially in a field typically reserved for hobbyists or amateurs".
Am I an IT Professional?
Well, as of now, I can't say that I am an IT professional because I am still studying yet I have a potential(to be continue...)
